Reach Out for Help
If you have suffered from tragedy or a major loss in your life, understand that it is normal to feel angry, anxious or depressed. Tend to your feelings in an effort to recover. Depression cannot be willed or wished away. You can't just "snap out of it". Being depressed or overwhelmed is not your fault and you don't need to feel guilty or ashamed to talk to someone about it.
Stress and Struggle
"Suffering from trauma leading to depression and overwhelming anxiety has a negative impact on our ability to grow personally, spiritually, and professionally. There are many myths and often times stigmas associated with depression and anxiety that is related to sexual assault, grief and loss, divorce, job transitioning and basically ANYTHING that happens in life that we NEVER expected. Exploring resources made available through counseling can help."
